Israel Blitzkrieg Day 22

We keep hearing all these revisionist accounts for the Invasion of Lebanon by the Israelis. The pretext for the attacks was the capture of Israeli soldiers by Hezbollah fighters. There was no talk about missiles. In fact, the missiles came later. Therefore, the standard argument that the Israeli invasion had something to do with missiles being fired into Israel is propaganda. Remember, days earlier the Israelis had attack Gaza for the same reason - the capture of Israeli soldiers. This suggest that Israel had war on their mind for some time. Similarly, Israel, and the Bush administration are trying destroy the democratically elected Hamas government. In fact, did not Olmert say the Hezbollah incursion was an "act of war"? What we have here is a planned act of aggression much like Bush's invasion of Iraq. It is part of the neo-con plan. This has been in the works for years. Next stop: Iran.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Only a couple of days after Shimon Peres said that most of the Hezbollah missile capability was destroyed, we saw a record number of rockets landing in Israel. This obviously means the Israelis have badly miscalculated. Rather than recognizing that force will not succeed instead they've decided to step up the fighting. Israeli politicians are never short of arrogance. And rather than counseling the Israelis on the need for a negotiated end to the war, the neo-con controlled Bush White House only cheers the Israelis on. And the deeper Israeli troops move into Lebanon the greater the likelihood they will confront Syria. Or maybe that's their plan.
