Lieberman The Neo-Con
Senator Lieberman of Connecticut is running for re-election in a highly contested and revealing race. The man who was Al Gore's running mate in 2000 has become a pariah in his own party. This all because he supports the Iraq war and Bush's conduct of it. This contest is a real test of how powerful the neo-cons/Israeli lobby are. Lieberman supporters are pumping money into his campaign. These individuals are clearly not concerned about a pro-war stance that has antagonized his own party. Nor are they deterred by the fact that Lieberman has said he will run as an independent in the fall if he loses in the Democratic primary on August 8th.
Why would former President, Bill Clinton, endorse and campaign on behalf of a candidate who has said that he doesn't care about his own party? And why would the former Democratic nominee for Vice President ignore the overwhelming sentiment of his party in supporting that fiasco in Iraq? Tragically the answer lies in Mr. Lieberman's faith. The Senator is a neo-con who happens to be Jewish. And he is obviously putting his loyalty to a foreign state above his loyalty to America. That is what is wrong with the pro-Israel influence in the United States.
If Mr.Lieberman wins it will prove once and for all who rules America. Even he goes on to lose, we have to be outraged that we have allowed these people to have so much influence over our government.
