U.S. Companies Recruiting Illegal Aliens in Mexico

Why is there a flood of illegal aliens coming into the United States? It turns out that a significant number of businesses in the U.S. are paying to recruit workers in Mexico. Prospective employers will pay a finder's fee to get workers to come over the border illegally to work at jobs that are waiting for them. For recruiters it can be a lucrative business. Some can earn $150 per alien recruited. The employers are found throughout the U.S. Some are restaurant owners that will provide jobs for cooks and dish washers. With the government's preoccupation with terrorism fines for hiring illegal workers has all but disappeared. As a result, there is very little incentive for businesses to obey the law.
