Congressman Murtha is right the killing of those innocent civilians was worse than Abu Ghraib. It undermines the war effort by giving ammunition to the enemy and by turning public opinion against the war. It is terribly ironic that on this Memorial Day the top story is about the slaughter of civilians during time of war. Already there are repercussions worldwide with rioting going on in Afghanistan.

Reports of the terrible plight of earthquake victims in Indonesia shows the need for preparedness in the U.S. In turns out that we are NOT prepared for a similar incident unlike other countries, like Japan, who use early warning systems.

In Another example of what's wrong with our political system. Former members of the government use their posts involving the defense industry to cash in. That was the case with former Congressman and Defense Secretary, William Cohen. He went from not being able to pay bills to owning a $3.5 million mansion within weeks of leaving his job in the Pentagon. He had become a lobbyist for a defense contractor. That's not why we elect politicians.

You happy with the Bush dynasty? Then maybe you would be interested in another Bush running for president - Jeb Bush, governor of Florida.

What is the president's solution for our oil dependence? Try coal. The only problem is that it makes global warming worse. Not to mention how dangerous it is to mine. No problem for a president that doesn't believe in global warming or workplace safety.

A woman died from the plague in New Mexico. This is a state that has seen a curious rise in similar incidents. This story comes in light of a study that argues that most cities and states are not ready for a flu pandemic. Meanwhile, children continue to die from Bird Flu.
