Economy is Tanking Just in Time for the Elections

In what could be a fatal blow to the Republican's chances to keep control of the Congress -- If Democrats play their cards right -- the economy is slowing:

Economic growth slowed to the weakest pace in more than three years in the third quarter, as the government's main gauge of the strength of the U.S. economy came in much lower than analysts had forecast.

This report comes in the wake of a dramatic drop in new home prices.

Bill O'Reilly has met his match. And It ain't Al Franken. Appearing on the David Letterman a second time last night, the talk show host was more than a match for the star FOX commentator. O'Reilly was on the defensive throughout the interview/debate. It is clear that Bill wants to use the David Letterman appearances to increase his popularity. Entertainment industry celebrities are a favorite target of the right. Letterman's personal attacks might've just played into the hands of O'Reilly. The recent attacks by Rush Limbaugh on Michael Fox was another example of a strategy being used by the Right. The Hollywood crowd have made it a habit of hurting their own cause by their lack of political finesse.
