Huckabee Ahead Nationally, Hillary Lead in New Hampshire Collapses

• Huckabee is now ahead in the national polls! He will now become the target that Giuliani and Hillary were for so long. That might not be a good thing at this point. There is still 1 month to go before the primaries. Or it could just mean that the public is reacting in historically predictable fashion. The last two Presidents were Governors and Southerners. One thing is for sure Giuliani is finished.
  

• Huckabee won't be able to shake the parole of that convicted rapist issue. Isn't it ironic that the conservative Mike Huckabee is being accused of being soft on crime. I don't know about you, but it's hard to tell the difference between the two parties.
  

• Very bad news for Hillary: her lead over Obama in New Hampshire is down to 6 points. Here is the Washington Post/ABC news Poll.
  

• The attacks and counter attacks between Obama and Clinton continue unabated. Now there is a dispute as to whether anti-Obama e-mails were really what they seemed. Or is it just typical press hype?
  

• I heard Duncan Hunter say today that the war in Iraq is won, whatever that means. Not so quick. Today's killings are a reminder that it isn't "won" yet. Defense Secretary Robert Gates also thinks things are rosy. Cheney goes a step further, he is predicting that Iraq will be self governing by the time he leaves office in 2009.
  

• It's become routine now. Someone decides they want to shoot up a mall or school, and we watch on the evening news like if were a reality show or video game, with little shock or outrage. We learn nothing. Until the next time. Meanwhile, the news shows get their ratings, especially the 24-hour cable stations; nothing better for them.
  

• More evidence that America is going into the toilet. Teen birth rate is on the rise again. It is the highest in 14 years. It shouldn't surprise anyone with the kind of filth you find in the media and on the Internet.
  

• Did Fred lie about having a gun license? A politician lying? No way.
  Nothing will be done about the safety of the airports until a terrible accident happens. That's how our society and government works.
  

• As long as al Qaeda can communicate over the Internet, their movement will remain alive. And as long as we stay in Iraq it serve as propaganda for them.
  

• See what happens when actors are not working. "24" is off the air because of the strike so he's spending his time in jail.
