Senator Biden: Bush Iran Policy a "Charade"

  • Obviously the Democratic Presidential candidates are going after Mr.Bush on the Iran intelligence finding. Joe Biden accuses the White House's claims a "charade":

The Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman linked the administration’s conduct to its actions before the Iraq war, saying that “for this president to knowingly disregard or once again misrepresent intelligence about the issue of war and peace, I find outrageous. [T]his is exactly what he did, exactly what he did in the run-up to the war in Iraq, in consistently exaggerating the intelligence.”

“If past is prologue, I do not trust this administration,” said Biden. “I do not trust them to level with us. I do not trust them to tell us the truth.” The senator has said that if the administration goes to war with Iran, President Bush should be impeached.

  • As for Bush, he doesn't care what the NIE says. His mind is made up, never the facts. He still wants war. This reminds me of Hitler before the end. He refused to believe that he could lose, and thought those who told him otherwise were traitors. Pretty scary.
  • Why is that no one else has picked up on Hillary's deceptive term the "rush to war" in referring to Iran. This is clever language which is intended to appeal to the neocons. There is no other explanation. Why not say she is opposed to war with Iran? Probably for the same reason she refuses to renounce her vote for war with Iraq.

  • Whoa! Its getting really dirty. Romney accusing Huckabee supporters of using push polls.

  • And its not just Romney who is claiming foul play. Hillary is accusing the Obama campaign of dirty tricks. Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black(Pardon the pun)? Her campaign is claiming push polling as well. That seems to be the thing to do, I guess. And this going on between candidates from the same party. Can you imagine what will happen during the general election?

  • Both New York candidates have seen big drops in their poll numbers nationally. The price of being early frontrunners, and of running a campaign based on a fraud.

  • It isn't just the neocons who've been made to look stupid over the NIE report, but some Republican Presidential candidates who have supported the White House are in denial:

Republican presidential candidate Fred Thompson says he's skeptical of a new report that Iran halted its nuclear weapons program four years ago.

  • You still have lots of people who are foolish or ignorant enough to not believe in global warming. We must allow the "flat earth" folks to stop us from doing something about it before its too late. In several decades global warming will threaten 150 million people and cost in tens of trillions in loses.
