British are 'Cutting and Running' by end of 2007

Are the British leading or paying the way for the Bush gang to pull out of Iraq? And is the Democratic Congress going to follow that lead? Its clear that most politicians in Washington are treading lightly on the question of when we pull out. It is still a political football despite the deteriorating situation in Iraq. The British announcement might serve as cover for the gutless politicians for Washington. In fact, it might've been Bush's idea for the British to "cut and run":

Britain said Monday it expects to withdraw thousands of its 7,000 military personnel from Iraq by the end of next year, while Poland and Italy announced the impending withdrawal of their remaining troops.

Cease-fire's in the Middle East don't count for much nowadays:

Palestinian militants in Gaza fired two rockets at Israel on Monday, despite a day-old cease-fire that was intended to end five months of violence in the area, Palestinian witnesses said.

The Israelis will respond since they cynically use any kind of attack as a pretext to retaliate ten-fold. They even have the nerve to be talking about a greater Middle East vision for peace.

This is all a clever dance on all sides. The current players in the ongoing struggle are preparing for a greater war that will eventually draw in most of the world.
