Where have all the Conservatives Gone?!

Its clear that Conservatives are dissatisfied with the Bush administration. Not only has this White House failed Conservatives but they have contempt for them:
A former Bush aide claims that evangelical Christians were embraced for political gain at the White House but derided privately as "nuts," "ridiculous" and "goofy."

These are the same people wo are the most responsible for Republican control of Congress and the Presidency. But Bush was never a Conservative. He might be an aristocrat but that ain't the same. Just look at the immigration issue. What Conservative is happy with the White House stand? Or how about gay marriage. Its barely an issue:
Some of the proposed bans [on gay marriage] are struggling in the polls, and the issue of same-sex marriage itself has largely failed to rouse conservative voters.

The latest -- and most dangerous -- failure of this administration is its inability to deal with growing crisis with North Korea:
Despite winning key concessions, Russia and China raised new objections that could delay a vote Saturday on a U.N. Security Council resolution imposing punishing sanctions on North Korea for its claimed nuclear test.

The Times version on the resolution:
The new draft resolution dropped or softened several provisions to placate China and Russia. It eliminated explicit mention of military enforcement of the sanctions; placed more limits on the kinds of cargo that could be inspected going in and out of North Korea; and dropped a blanket embargo on conventional weapons.

What we need is a change of subject. Let's talk about someone who doesn't count but is a major celebrity now because he made a preposterous claim about murdering JonBenet. Remember her? I watch the Today Show daily because of its educational segments. But even they have to turn to child pornography to get ratings. Just when we think we've gotten rid of Karr the press resurrects him. Didn't he dupe them for weeks? Why is the media still rewarding an obviously deranged individual. Whom the authorities to incompetent to prosecute? Isn't he getting more than his 15 minutes. The media has no shame:
Portions of the TV psychiatrist's interview with Karr were aired Friday on NBC's "Today" show with more to come in the next few days. Karr, briefly a suspect in the death of child beauty queen JonBenet Ramsey, was freed from a California jail earlier this month when a child pornography case against him fell apart.

I'd rather talk about another type of scandal. The Congressional type. It seems prevalent, especially in an election year:
U.S. Rep. Bob Ney pleaded guilty in federal court Friday to two felony counts of trading legislative favors for a string of gifts, including a golfing trip to Scotland and more than $50,000 in poker chips, and then lying about his actions.

Speaking of corruption. Bill Clinton is trying to get his "wife" elected President. Given the her "husbands" track record, she should run away. This is the same man who cost his party control of Congress and the Presidential election in 2000. He couldn't get a candidate elected sheriff. He recently failed with Joseph Lieberman:
For all his skills, the former president also brings some heavy political baggage, from Whitewater real estate to sex with a White House intern, from impeachment to last-minute pardons. In a divided nation, for every Democrat who sees Clinton as a rock star, there is a Republican who reviles him.

This is precisely the reason Hillary won't run in 2008. I'm already on record as saying she won't run:
Any Clinton presidential candidacy also would revive tabloid-style questions about the state of their marriage.

We have almost lost as many Americans fighting in Iraq as died during the 9-11 attacks. Ironically Bush started this war under the guise that Iraq had something to do with al Qaeda:
A new count of those U.S. servicemembers who have died in the War in Iraq, has grown to at least 2,757.
