al Qaeda's October Surprise
If the goal of al Qaeda is to to influence the elections by bleeding Americans in Iraq, they've succeeded. This month is the deadliest so far this year for Americans troops. Republicans are running commercials showing pictures of Bin Laden and al Qaeda hoping it will frighten us into voting for the same people who failed to capture the al Qaeda leader. The quotes in the commercials call for the killing of Americans. They ads have it all wrong. Bin Laden, and his supporters, are succeeding in killing Americans. It just happens to be in Iraq. The propaganda they've achieved by beating us in the Middle East is greater than any they would've obtained by attacking us on U.S. soil.

Now George W. Bush wants to take on his father, the former President:
If he didn't have enough enemies, the besieged Dubya is lashing out at anyone in site. Watch out, Laura. It makes you wonder if George can distinguish enemy from ally. This is the kind of arrogance that develops when one thinks being President means you don't have to take advice from anyone. The last time we had a George who wanted to rule over America there was a revolution.

Now George W. Bush wants to take on his father, the former President:
President Bush gently admonished his father for saying he hates to think what life would be like for his son if the Democrats win control of Congress in the November 7 election.
..."He shouldn't be speculating like this, because -- he should have called me ahead of time and I'd tell him they're not going to (win)," a smiling Bush told ABC "This Week" in an interview broadcast on Sunday.
