Army Suicides Hit Highest Level Since 1993
Another casualty of the Iraq War are those soldiers who are taking their lives in increasing numbers. Americans troops are forced to deal with an elusive enemy whom are using brutal means of warfare. IEDs are taking a terrible toll on our forces and their nerves. It doesn’t help that the American people have turned against a war that is being prosecuted by politicians who do not have their interests at heart. American troops feel like pawns just as they did during the Vietnam War. They are torn between serving their country and fighting a war that is becoming increasingly unpopular. We can thank Mr. Bush (and Rumsfeld, of course) for this tragedy.
