Hamas Should Follow the ETA Example

After decades of terrorism, ETA, the Basque separatist organization, has given up using violence as a way of achieving their goals. Hamas should take a similar approach. They will never succeed in destroying Israel. If the Palestinians want a state of their own, they must use democratic methods, including the tactics of the civil rights movement in the U.S. in the 60s. By using peaceful, non-violent means, they will get the sympathy of the world and force Israel and their sponsors, the United States, to the negotiating table.
