Our Government Paid Mafia to Kill Castro

Now we know for a fact that our government for a long time has been just as bad as the worst hoodlums. In fact, the last 2 presidents have been nothing more than common criminals:
The CIA offered 150,000 dollars to members of the US mafia to kill Cuban President Fidel Castro with poison pills, according to classified documents released Tuesday.

We have the kind of government that we have because we've chosen to subscribe to the myth that either political party represents us:
A high-ranking Bush administration official was sentenced to 10 months in prison on Tuesday for lying to Congress as it investigated a bribery scandal centered on lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

Does anyone believe this individual acted alone:
Griles, 59, is the highest-ranking Bush administration official convicted in the wide-ranging bribery scandal centered around Abramoff.

Griles pleaded guilty in March to lying to the Senate Indian Affairs Committee as it examined Abramoff's clout in the Interior Department.

At least some politicians have a modicum of decency:
In an ominous sign of wavering GOP support for the White House's Iraq strategy, two more Republican senators have called on President Bush to begin planning the withdrawal of U.S. forces from Iraq.

Ohio Sen. George Voinovich sent a letter to the president today, stressing the need for a "comprehensive plan for our country's gradual military disengagement from Iraq."
