Mr.Neocon: Bomb Iran, America be Damned

Mr. Neocon, Norman Podhoretz, is banging the war drums. In a recent article, the real brains behind the administration's Middle East strategy is giving the pro-Israeli lobby's version of the Fatwa. It is clear that the campaign to prepare America for war with Iran is being accelerated. Senator Lieberman's recent comments gives further evidence the neocons are preparing for war. The only question left, when will Bush give the orders:

Well, if we were to bomb the Iranians as I hope and pray we will, we’ll unleash a wave of anti-Americanism all over the world that will make the anti-Americanism we’ve experienced so far look like a lovefest.

Mr. Burns and officials from the Treasury Department have been trying to use the mounting conservative calls for a military strike to press Europe and Russia to expand economic sanctions against Iran. Just last week, Israel’s transportation minister and former defense minister, Shaul Mofaz, visited Washington and told Ms. Rice that sanctions must be strong enough to get the Iranians to stop enriching uranium by the end of 2007.
