Outraged Arab Countries Will Now Support Hamas

They've done it again. The Bush gang, and their neocon handlers, have pushed their luck. The unwillingness to criticize any act of aggression by the Israelis have forced the hand of the only "moderate" Muslim countries:
Arab countries decided to lift the financial blockade on Palestinians on Sunday in response to a U.S. veto on a U.N. Security Council draft resolution condemning Israel's military offensive in the Gaza Strip.

These clowns in the White House can't seem to show any moderation of any kind. As a result they are making things much harder for themselves. Hamas now has the sympathy of those countries who were willing to isolate them. This has serious implications for any chance of peace in the region. The Palestinian government has already said they won't have any negotiations with Israel. This is exactly what the neocons want.

This administration is so beholden to the neocons that they are willing to go to any length to maintain those ties:
Democrats have blocked confirmation of Bolton, a former undersecretary of state for nonproliferation, since he was first nominated in March 2005, charging he is ill-suited for the diplomatic workings of the United Nations.

"Mr.President, if you really mean it, that you really want to cooperate and have a bipartisan (support) -- play by the rules, Mr. President. ... Send somebody else," Sen. Joseph Biden, a Delaware Democrat who is expected to head the Senate Foreign Relations Committee in January, said on "This Week."

What are his qualifications? You guessed it.

If there is any doubt that we are losing the forgotten war in Afghanistan, then look at these numbers:
There has been a four-fold rise this year in the number of people killed in the conflict in Afghanistan, according to a report on the insurgency.
