Is America Dying?

You can't help and wonder what's going on in our society. It seems insanity has taken over. Senseless violence has become the norm. And not just in America. But what is more frightening is the lack of outrage or concern. We've become spectators to our own demise:

A woman hospitalized after being found near death next to the bodies her four young children was arrested Thursday for their deaths, police said.

As if it were a video game:

A man was arrested Thursday after a series of shootings that left two people dead and three others wounded within a span of 10 minutes.

All the shootings were in a three- to four-block area on the city's west side, Detroit police spokesman James Tate said. The shootings were believed to be random, police said.

These are not isolated cases. Horrifying acts of senseless violence have become more common. These are facts that don't show on the crime stats. Its as if America were losing her collective mind. And we are too desensitized to violence to realize it.

There is something terribly wrong.
