Former U.S. Diplomat: Bush Clueless on North Korea

The Bush administration has no concept of the term diplomacy. So when we hear a former State Department official say the Bush gang has no plan for resolving tensions with North Korea, it shouldn't come as a surprise:

A former State Department official who maintains contact with North Korea said Thursday U.S. dealings with that country have been hampered by missteps and lack of a coherent policy.

A more shocking Republican scandal than that of Mark Foley involves Don Sherwood:

A Republican congressman accused of abusing his ex-mistress agreed to pay her about $500,000 in a settlement last year that contained a powerful incentive for her to keep quiet until after Election Day, a person familiar with the terms of the deal told The Associated Press.

What's most shocking is that this individual could get reelected despite his shocking behaviour.
