Bush Wants to Prevent his Torture Victims from Speaking to Lawyers

What nerve. Bush wants to be able to torture and the torture victim can't tell his lawyer what that torture was:

A suspected terrorist who spent years in a secret CIA prison should not be allowed to speak to a civilian attorney, the Bush administration argues, because he could reveal the agency's closely guarded interrogation techniques.

Anyone who thinks that any understanding can be reached with North Korea during the Bush reign is terribly misguided:

North Korea denounced U.S. leaders as "warmongers" on Saturday and called Japanese officials "political imbeciles" for saying they won't accept Pyongyang as a nuclear power.
