Another Casualty of the War on Terrorism: Tourism

The fear of terrorism and the government's misguided war against it, have led to a drop in tourists coming to America:
The international tourism organization has warned that the tougher security measures at U.S. airports have in part led to a slide in the country's share of international tourism. In an interview with the Financial Times, The World Travel and Tourism Council (WTTC) said that the U.S. needs to develop a national tourism strategy before it is further outpaced by other countries.

Poor prospects for the future:
Although, the WTTC predicts good growth in overall tourism worldwide over the next 10 years, but forecasts that the U.S. will fall behind the international growth rate by one percentage point, the FT reported.
