Latest HUD Scandal: Par for the Course
When Housing Secretary, Alphonso Jackson, arrogantly suggested publicly that he had denied a contract based on an individuals politics, in violation of department policy, some of us just yawned - what else is new. This is what Michelle Malkin had to say back in 2001:
"FRAUD is so inherent to the operation of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development that 'HUD Scandal' might as well be one word."So you might ask why does this department continue to exist? Probably for the same reason we are paying so much for gasoline when we've known for 30 years that this problem would again occur. Maybe they might consider getting rid of HUD along with FEMA, another inept agency which is being targeted for elimination.
