Bush Biggest Spender Since LBJ
- Another dubious distinction for this President. He is the biggest spender since LBJ, far worse than his dad. He also has the worst job creation record since the end of WWII. Democrats might want to beat Bush and the Republicans over the head with this one. During the last Republican debate the candidates kept using the same old line about Democrats being the party of big government. And it ain't just defense spending. If Bush cut spending it was done at the expense of the vulnerable, meaning his veto of SCHIP.
- And all that spending is not making us a safer nation, according to the American people:
The public is uninterested in attacking Iran, despite the propaganda:
A failing grade:
- Giuliani, who has ridiculed Hillary for disingenuous claim that she is a Yankee, gave the same dishonest answer yesterday. He claims he is a loyal fan of the Bronx Bombers, but said he would support the Red Sox in the World Series. Giuliani was in Boston at the time he made the statement. These people have no shame. I know New York politicians are particularly phony, but this is ridiculous.
- Bush, and his fascist underlings are at it again, they are censoring global warming speeches from administration officials:
- Since violence against our troops is down, Bush might want to send more troops to Afghanistan, where they are desperately needed. Since we are not going to get help from the Europeans or others.
- Just heard on the Today Show, the terror watchlist has grown to an incredible 750,000. What a joke.
- Why are the Clinton's trying to convince us that they still have romance in their marriage. Maybe because they don't have any. Theirs is an arrangement, remember? Bill is obviously going to wait til after the election before going wild again.

Fewer people think the U.S. is adequately thwarting terrorists, meeting its objectives in Iraq or achieving other goals overseas, according to a poll that shows a deepening skepticism about the country's foreign policy.
The public is uninterested in attacking Iran, despite the propaganda:
The poll also found little taste for a military confrontation with Iran, though there was slightly more interest than earlier this year. Tensions with Tehran have risen over its nuclear program and aid to fighters opposing U.S. troops in Iraq.
Sixty-five percent said they preferred economic or diplomatic moves against Iran, compared to 19 percent who favored military action or threats. When the question was asked in March, 13 percent chose threatened or actual military steps.
A failing grade:
Asked to assign grades to the U.S. for meeting foreign policy goals, 48 percent awarded As or Bs for giving terrorism the attention it deserves. The number giving those grades was 10 percentage points lower than when the question was asked in 2005.

The White House severely edited congressional testimony given Tuesday by the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on the impact of climate change on health, removing specific scientific references to potential health risks, according to two sources familiar with the documents.
