US Palestinian Plan Rejected
Any proposal brokered by this neocon controlled White House should be taken with a grain of salt:
A US plan to improve the mobility of Palestinians in the occupied territories and bolster Israeli security has been rejected by the Hamas party, which leads a Palestinian unity government, as well as by elements in the Israeli establishment.
Only the Fatah party, led by Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas, has signalled approval of the US plan, which outlines a series of steps with a view to peace talks by next year.
"I swear it's a farce . . . the equation has now become: dismantling the checkpoints in exchange for [giving up] resistance," said Khaled Meshal, the exiled Hamas leader in Syria.
