The Truth About Why We are in Iraq: Its About Conquest

You won't hear tonight from President Bush on any future plans to leave Iraq. Nothing about plans to arm and train the Iraqi military. Nothing about withdrawing troops to safer areas, as has been suggested by responsible leaders:
"What I propose is that we reallocate troops within Iraq to have more troops in the west, in Anbar Province, where the violence is not sectarian. The fight is with foreign fighters and Al Qaeda. I don't think it makes sense to put more U.S. troops in the midst of what is a sectarian war in Baghdad," said Senator Collins.

This President ignored the American people's wishes that a change take in policy in Iraq. Instead Mr.Bush did the opposite, giving us even more of the same. He sacrificed his own party for his grand dream.

His dream is the dream of a ideological clique that surround this President. The neocons had been arguing for years prior to 9-11 for domination of the Middle East. So sinister is this group that they were willing to use the tragedy of 9-11 as a pretext to invade Iraq. They hadn't planned on all the problems they are facing in that country. They hadn't counted on having such an incompetent commander-in-chief and Defense Secretary. And now the puppet government they helped install is rebelling. But they are not willing to give up their prize possession. There is too much oil and no-bid contracts to pass up.

But these people are very stubborn and their influence is very great. Apparently, they are willing to start a world war to achieve their ends.
