New Iraq Policy: Stay More of the Course

It shouldn't come as a shock, or though it's disappointing, that the administration would ignore the Iraq study group, General Abizaid, and the American people in calling for more troops for Iraq. What is shocking is that our generals would call for more troops when we should be trying to exit the country:
As President Bush weighs new policy options for Iraq, strong support has coalesced in the Pentagon behind a military plan to "double down" in the country with a substantial buildup in American troops, an increase in industrial aid and a major combat offensive against Muqtada Sadr, the radical Shiite leader impeding development of the Iraqi government.

As I predicted, Bush, who has no concern whatsoever for anyone else's advice, will go down fighting. Even if it means killing several thousand more American troops. This President is ignoring the will of the people. The voters last month sent a clear message to Mr.Bush to dramatically change the course of the war:
Nearly eight in 10 Americans favor changing the U.S. mission in Iraq from direct combat to training Iraqi troops, the Washington Post-ABC News survey found. Sizeable majorities agree with the goal of pulling out nearly all U.S. combat forces by early 2008, engaging in direct talks with Iran and Syria and reducing U.S. financial support if Iraq fails to make enough progress.

At this point, the only solution is for this psycho in White House to be impeached!
