Iraq War Worsening, Attacks on U.S. Troops Rise

New Insurgent strategy:

"Attacks against U.S. troops have increased following a call earlier this month from al-Qaeda in Iraq's leader to target American forces, the top U.S. military spokesman said Wednesday."

At least some are opposing this disaster:

"Thousands of Iraq war protesters marched Tuesday to the United Nations, where President George W. Bush was presenting his vision for the Middle East to skeptical world leaders."

Bush continues his folly:

"It's counterintuitive to everyone's long-term security to create a detention system so blatantly absent of justice, and so likely to radicalize thousands of Iraqis against those presuming to bring that brand of democracy at the point of a gun."
