Violent Crime Rate up 2005

Did we really think that the crime rate would continue to decline or stay the same. It was only a matter of time before it would go up again. With the economy declining and the poverty rate increasing, crime was destined to return. State governments having less money to pay for police. Crime will eventually return to the bad old days. Not until we solve the root cause of crime will we become a less violent society:

"The number of violent crimes in the United States jumped 2.3 percent in 2005 and a senior Justice Department official said on Monday it may keep rising this year."
