Hillary Clinton Presidential Campaign Imploding?

Hillary's flip-flopping on the Iraq War has antagonized the most outspoken critic within the Democratic Party:
"Pennsylvania Congressman John Murtha has been an outspoken critic of the war. Last year he called on the Bush administration to immediately withdraw American troops....'I have been disappointed. I've been disappointed she hasn't spoken out more forcefully. She's a leader in the Democratic Party...I don't know whether it's related to New York politics or what it is, but I would hope that in the next few months she would make her position clear...'"

Huffington called Hillary the "quintessential political weather vain":
"But it is very much in keeping with the political profile that has emerged since Hillary transformed herself from First Lady to Presumptive Presidential frontrunner. And that profile is unmistakably of a politician more comfortable following than leading."

Even government whistleblowers don't think Hillary stands for principle:

"In an op-ed to be published soon, Sibel Edmonds and William Weaver of the National Security Whistleblowers Coalition (NSWBC) criticized Senator Clinton for her failure to take a stand on the deaths of two veterans and injuries of others in illegal drug experiments at the Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Albany, NY. A number of efforts have been made by NSWBC and other concerned parties to get Sen. Clinton to address the matter, but to no avail.

Edmonds and Weaver called Clinton's inaction in the Stratton case 'part of a pattern of studious avoidance of principled action in the face of serious government misconduct, and the refusal to come to the aid of those people who expose that misconduct.'"

They weren't finished there...
"'an elected senator who has served six years in her seat, never taking a strong stand in support of her constituents on any serious or controversial issue; ... an elected official who has no record of conducting investigations into cases that are matters of great concern to her constituents and to our nation; a senator who has consistently stood quietly on the sidelines when the issues at hand demand public hearings waiting to determine the direction of each blowing wind; a politician who has spent all her focus and energy on a campaign of shallow publicity glitz and her PR empire behind it.'"

In These Times also has a complaint about Hillary Clinton:
"It turns out that Hillary has done a tremendous job—of getting New York Democrats to assume that because right-wing Republicans hate her she must oppose the war. Most New York Democratic voters also don’t realize that she co-sponsored an amendment to ban flag-burning, is against marriage equality for gays and lesbians, supports the death penalty, votes consistently for Star Wars appropriations and has served on the board of Wal-Mart for six years. Yet, she is consistently touted as the 'liberal Democrat from New York.'

But it is her position—or, rather, her exquisitely-phrased, calculatedly imprecise non-position—on the Iraq War, accompanied by her consistent voting record in support of the Bush administration on Iraq, that had our local CODEPINK chapter trying for weeks before she sent out her 'I’m a listener' mailer, to meet with Hillary or someone on her New York City staff."

The NY Post had a tough editorial view of Hillary's "support" for Lamont:
"It's nice finally to know where Hillary Clinton stands on something....But no one should mistake what's going on here as anything other than opportunistic politicking of the crassest kind."
