Lebanon to Israel: Peace Off

In a disastrous blow to peace in the Middle East, Lebanon is saying they won't negotiate with Israel:
"Lebanese Prime Minister Fuad Saniora said Wednesday that he refused to have any direct contact with Israel and Lebanon would be the last Arab country to ever sign a peace deal with the Jewish state."

Part of the reason the Lebanese are so angry is Israel's blockading of Lebanon:
"With Israel's prime minister standing by his side, U.N. Secretary-General Kofi Annan renewed his demands Wednesday that Israel immediately lift its sea
and air blockade of Lebanon, but failed to win Israel's consent.

Annan also said he hoped Israel would withdraw all its forces from south Lebanon once the number of U.N. forces in Lebanon has doubled to 5,000, a number he said could be reached in 'coming days and weeks.'"

The arrogant Israeli government isn't interested in negotiating. They want to destroy their enemies. And that means war and more war. And with a Bush administration that is controlled by the Pro-Israel Neocons, peace is not an option.
