Britain Outraged After Friendly Fire Video Leaked
This kind of news has dealt another death blow to an already tottering war in Iraq. Incidents like this serve to undermine morale among the troops. The media is already having a field day with the tragedy. What makes it such an outrage is the fact that there was an attempt to coverup the 3 year-old incident:
The apparently incriminating video, obtained by Britain's daily The Sun, records the pilots repeatedly cursing, and one of them weeping, after being told they had attacked a British convoy near the start of the 2003 Iraq war.
The leaked video is the subject of a British legal inquiry into how Lance Corporal Matty Hull, 25, was killed on March 28, 2003, eight days after US and British forces invaded Iraq to topple Saddam Hussein.
