King George Says he Can Illegally Open Your Mail

Two-hundred years after overthrowing one tyranical King we have to face another King George. George Bush has decided that he will do whatever he wants regardless of the Constitution, the law, and will of the people:

President Bush has quietly claimed sweeping new powers to open Americans' mail without a judge's warrant, the Daily News has learned.

The President asserted his new authority when he signed a postal reform bill into law on Dec. 20. Bush then issued a "signing statement" that declared his right to open people's mail under emergency conditions.

That claim is contrary to existing law and contradicted the bill he had just signed, say experts who have reviewed it.

It is clear at this point that we have a rogue presidency. If we are not careful we could end up under military rule. What is to stop this President from taking away more of our rights? Will the Democrats protect us? And if we lose our freedoms arent't we to blame for tolerating such a corrupt government. I fear for my Republic.

Surprise, Surprise. The FTC is penalizing (source: NBC Today Show, this morning) companies who peddle those fat losing pills, like Trimspa. But these products, which we see commercials for late at night, can still be sold eventhough they do nothing to help you lose weight. The consumer still comes last when it comes to the marketplace. Even more dangerous is the terrible state of food inspections across America. Outbreaks of sickness from contaminated food are becoming increasingly common. The government has decided protecting the safety of the foods we eat is not a priority.
