Treatment of Imams on Plane a Outrage; Bigotry

It is a shocking example of bigotry driven by hysteria:
The imams were removed from the flight to Phoenix on Monday night after three of them said their normal evening prayers in the terminal in Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport before boarding, said Omar Shahin, president of the North American Imams Federation, who was one of the passengers removed. The passengers were among 150 imams who attended a federation meeting in Minneapolis.

This incident is a blow to relations with the Muslim community in the U.S. and strengthens the hand of extremists worldwide. It also harkens back to the dark days of the worst cases of intolerance towards people of color or minorities throughout our history. We need a more sensible approach in dealing with the threat of terrorism and not humiliate innocent people who just happen to be muslim or look Middle Eastern. The reasoning for removing these individuals from the plane was stupid. al Qaeda terrorists would not have made their faith obvious to those around them. I hope they file a lawsuit.

It explains some of why America's in decline:
Out-of-wedlock births in the United States have climbed to an all-time high, accounting for nearly four in 10 babies born last year, government health officials said Tuesday.

Children out of wedlock and their parents tend to do more poorly than those who are raised within a married environment. Although teenage preganancies are down, we still have the highest teen birth rate among "industrialized countries."

David Blaine is at it again. And once again, New York Times Square is the site of his latest death-defying escape act. I was able to record him on his first day of a 3 day stunt that is intended to raise money for the Salvation Army, and make money for the Target superstore (thus the bull's eye visible in the video).
