Poll: Edwards Leads in Iowa
Barring any scandals, Edwards clearly has a shot at winning in Iowa or finishing a close 2nd:
Ron Paul had tough words for Huckabee and his Christmas ad:
Obama has Oprah. Hillary has Magic Johnson. This is another example of why the Clinton campaign is contrived and desperate, they had to get their own black celebrity to try and counter the Oprah influence as if there was an equal comparison. Listen to Mr. Johnson and see how really absurd it is to have him speak on behalf of the Clinton campaign.
In an InsiderAdvantage poll in Iowa, Edwards leads among (977) likely voters 30-26-24 over Clinton and Obama. Edwards is also the clear second choice winner, 42-29-28 over Clinton and Obama. This is the first poll to show Edwards solely in the lead in Iowa since July.
[...]A national Diageo/Hotline poll shows a narrowing between the Democrats and a tight race on the Republican side. The Dems: Clinton 35%, Obama 30, Edwards 14. The Republicans: Giuliani 21%, Huckabee 17, Romney 13, Thompson 11, McCain 10, Paul 7.
Ron Paul had tough words for Huckabee and his Christmas ad:
Ron Paul was on FOX News commenting on Mike Huckabee's recent commercial showing what apeared to be a window pane, subtly in the background that resembled a "cross". Mike Huckabee's commercial was in "poor taste".
Our nation was founded on the principle that "Church and State" should be separate. Mike Huckabee has wrapped himself in the cross with certain appeal to the Evangelicals in Iowa. Huckabee will gain in the near term and lose long term.
Ron Paul was asked a typical media "sucker" question and responded beautifully. Ron Paul made mention of Sinclair Lewis' comment that "when Fascism arrives in this Country it will be wrapped in the Flag and carrying the Cross".
