Giuliani Pulls Another About-Face with Bratton

Do you believe this guy? Rudy fired former police commissioner, William Bratton, because he was getting too much credit for the drop in the crime rate when he was Mayor. Now that he is running for President and he is willing to bury-the-hatchet and seek to rehire his former nemesis. He is also swallowing his pride by allowing Bratton to get some credit for the drop in crime. How generous. This guy will say anything. I would suggest Bratton turn Rudy down. Because if Giuliani does become President (which I doubt) he would fire him all over again. The former Mayor, who behaved like a bully throughout his reign in the 1990s, can't be trusted. Just ask his family:
GOP presidential candidate Rudy Giuliani floated an extraordinary olive branch to bitter rival William Bratton, hinting he'd consider his estranged former top cop for a high federal post.

In an interview in this week's New Yorker magazine, Giuliani was asked whom he'd tap for Homeland Security secretary if elected to the White House.

He laughed and told the magazine whom he wouldn't tap.

"I guess you need a Bernie Kerik without the background problems that Bernie Kerik had," Giuliani said of his ethics-challenged former police commissioner and close friend.

The former mayor then lavished praise on his first police commissioner, Bratton, the city's top cop from 1994 through 1996, and gave him equal credit for Gotham's successful war on crime.
