Bush Orders Rove not to Testify

It looks like King George will stonewall to the bitter end. He certainly won't turn over his political guru, Rove. Given a similar attitude towards his Attorney General, in Bush's simple mind loyalty to cronies comes before everything else, including country:

US President George W Bush has ordered close adviser Karl Rove not to testify before a Senate hearing on the sacking of eight federal prosecutors.

Mr Bush used the executive privilege he has as president to exempt Mr Rove from having to appear.
