Televangelist Tammy Fay Bakker Messner Dies: Who Cares?

Why should we care that Tammy Fay died? Only the media knows. The disgusting spectacle of watching this woman dying on the Larry King Show (I did not watch the show)is appalling. What did she accomplish in life that warrant so much media coverage, other than she was involved in major scandal? How many "celebrities" have died lately and didn't receive anywhere near the attention. How low can they go?These people have no shame:

Tammy Faye Bakker Messner, a former televangelist who helped lead a huge television ministry before its collapse in a sex and corruption scandal, has died, her Web site reported on Saturday.

Messner died on Friday at age 65 after a long battle with cancer. CNN's Larry King, who interviewed Messner on his "Larry King Live" talk show on Thursday night, said her family had asked him to make the delayed announcement of her death.
