U.S. Does not see China as Strategic Adversary: Gates
China is not a strategic adversary because big business is making big profits. If it were not for those profits, the mainland would be part of the "axis of evil" along with North Korea and Iran. But when the Chinese decide to attack Taiwan things will change all that. In fact, I'll make an easy prediction. Our sell-out government is ignoring the Red China threat the same way it ignored the al Qaeda threat prior to 9-11:
In fact, the Chinese rulers have become emboldened that they are unwilling to accept any criticism, especially from someone like George Bush:
Defense Secretary Robert Gates said on Wednesday he did not view China as a strategic adversary of the United States despite Beijing's growing military budget.
China said on Sunday it would boost defense spending by 17.8 percent this year, which follows a 14.7 percent increase in 2006 and is the biggest recorded rise in the past decade.
But Gates said the higher spending did not reveal much about China's intentions.
In fact, the Chinese rulers have become emboldened that they are unwilling to accept any criticism, especially from someone like George Bush:
China accused the United States of hypocrisy on Thursday in its annual response to Washington's criticism of Beijing's human rights record, saying it had no right to blacken the name of other countries.
