Vicious Fiends Stalked Victims From Food Store

Why were these animals walking the streets. Once again the system failed. This case is the latest horror that argues for doing away with parole. There isn't a day that doesn't pass in where we hear about a felon on parole committing a terrible crime:
It was an idyllic, eye-catching scene in the Connecticut countryside: A mother and daughter, both blond, leaving their local food store, stepping lightheartedly into a bright white Mercedes that glowed in the setting summer sun.

Tragically, the eyes that focused on Jennifer Hawke-Petit and her youngest daughter, Michaela, last Sunday evening as they left a Stop & Shop less than a mile from their Cheshire home belonged not to men, but to monsters.

Joshua Komisarjevsky, 26, and Steven Hayes, 44, career criminals with a lifetime of burglaries and drug charges behind them, homed in on the happy Petit family purely by chance, sources say.
