John Edwards Surges in Presidential Poll

Edwards Surges After Wife's Woe:
John Edwards' poll position in the Democratic presidential primaries surged in the wake of his announcement that his wife, Elizabeth, is suffering from incurable cancer, a new Time magazine survey shows.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton gets 38 percent, while Sen. Barack Obama gets 30 percent and Edwards gets 26 percent.

That's a 9-point bump for Edwards since the mag's mid-March poll. The new poll was conducted March 23-26.
